Over the course of spring and summer 2012, I am creating 4 short art films/music video trailers to announce the new band, Divine Fits. The band consists of Spoon’s Britt Daniel, Dan Boeckner, formerly of Handsome Furs and Wolf Parade and New Bomb Turks’ Sam Brown. They’re putting out an album later this year on Merge.
The concepts for the trailers is the emergence of objects, of body, of identity and ultimately of the project, Divine Fits. Each trailer maintains a sense of indeterminate space and abstraction.The first trailer was widely released yesterday on Pitchfork and other sites. 3 more coming soon!

A Divine Fits Easter egg - keep clicking on their site, and eventually you will be redirected to this Ketty Lester song. Here’s hoping it’s a hint as to the content of the new record—I would love to hear Britt sing this.
Edit: Looks like it redirects to some other (weirder) things too. What does it mean? Hell if I know. But I wouldn’t recommend Lasik@Home.
